“It is an enormous honor to join the TrailCon 2026 community at this pivotal moment of growth and excitement in trail running. This is an important time to explore why clean sport matters and how to best protect clean athletes’ rights to a level and fair playing field,” said Travis T. Tygart, CEO of USADA.

Tygart has worked with the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) since its inception in 2000 and became USADA’s CEO in September of 2007, having served as its Director of Legal Affairs and General Counsel prior to becoming its CEO.

As CEO, Tygart works closely with the USADA Board of Directors to carry out the organization’s mission to champion athletes to achieve their dreams in a fair and healthy way and to inspire the world.

Under Tygart’s leadership, some of USADA’s most significant efforts to protect clean athletes have come in the form of major investigations. Working alongside federal authorities, USADA investigated the international steroid bust, Operation Raw Deal, and the international doping conspiracy involving the BALCO laboratory in San Francisco.

Tygart also led the investigation into the U.S. Postal Service pro-cycling team doping conspiracy and the Lance Armstrong case.

“We are beyond honored to have Travis Tygart speak at TrailCon. He personifies athletic integrity and has made significant positive impacts on several maturing sports, which trail running can learn a lot from. We are thrilled to have him share takeaways from his pioneering anti-doping work with our attendees” said Dylan Bowman, CEO of Freetrail.

This year’s theme is TrailCon: Shaping the Future, with three days packed with incredible thought leaders in our industry.

TrailCon Presented By On is strategically positioned between two iconic trail running races – the Broken Arrow Skyrace and the Western States Endurance Run – creating a 10-day Trail Running Capital of the world.

TrailCon offers a unique opportunity for attendees of both races, along with trail running enthusiasts, athletes, and industry leaders, to connect and engage.

Its mission is to be open and inclusive for all stakeholders of the sport, from trail aficionados to industry titans.

The 2026 event will include:

  • 30+ Keynote Sessions and Panels
  • Two-day Vendor Village with 125+ Brands
  • Group Trail Runs
  • TrailCon Awards Presented by All Conditions Gear (ACG) – a division of Nike, Freetrail Trail Runner of the Year Awards

Just a few of the amazing brands taking part in TrailCon’s two-day Vendor Village include: Arc’Teryx, Brooks, Keen, Lowa, Precision Nutrition, Craft, Strike Visuals and Ultra Signup. Stay tuned for many more.

“Amidst the rapid growth and global reach of trail running, we’re proud to introduce a groundbreaking event that celebrates the spirit of unity, innovation, and collective progress for our beloved sport,” said Brendan Madigan, TrailCon Co-founder, Broken Arrow Skyrace Race Director and Alpenglow Sports store owner.

He added, “Whether you represent a brand, are a marketing professional, agent, professional athlete, or merely a general fan of the sport, TrailCon is for you.”
